WASHINGTON, DC - 18 months after moving into the White House, First Dog Bo Obama today blamed predecessor Barney Bush for a large pile of dog poop found buried in the White House Rose Garden. "Clearly, this mess was made before I got here," said a panting Bo during an impromptu exchange with reporters following an exhausting game of fetch on the East Lawn. "I think everyone here acknowledges that the failed pooper-scooper policies of the previous administration have led to this," exclaimed Bo. FDOTUS then refused to answer additional questions posed by reporters, instead preferring to take yet another romp through a patch of organic carrots meant to be harvested by DC area elementary school students.
In recent weeks, the First Dog has come under increasing criticism for blaming previous First Dog Barney Bush for a number of domestic problems, including the discovery of a half-eaten bully stick in the Lincoln Bedroom, the faint smell of "wet dog" wafting through the West Wing and dog hair spotted clinging to the pant legs of foreign dignitaries during meetings in the Oval Office. While even Barney's supporters acknowledge that he made mistakes during his White House tenure, they accuse Bo Obama of making matters worse. "Just because Barney Bush snatched a squirrel off the South Lawn doesn't mean Bo should snatch two more," said a senior member of the minority party.

There is a general belief that writing funny stuff comes naturally to some. Funny people have a gene, a natural gift which can't be produced by learning 'techniques'. This may be true but there are definitely some tips that can make one sound funny!
Humor Is Based On Possibility
Humor is a point of view and an approach that almost everyone has as a child. There are several times when one reads some funny stuff, laughs and says, "That is SO true" and a lot of times it is. Humor can be based on truth of what can be or what is.
Use Of Strange Characters
Choosing funny names for characters and experimenting with more than just ordinary people can make a script or a piece of writing sound really funny. A writer can use motifs like aliens, super-humans, inanimate things coming to life, or even animals.

I have been repairing and selling washing machines for over 30 years now and boy have I had some laughs.
Here I share the 1st part of the many, many lighter moments I have experienced.
Years ago, there was a well known company in the UK called Servis. They were especially popular in Ireland. Those days Men were men and women washed, cooked and cleaned. Well that's how it seemed to me when I was 14 or so and worked in my Dad's shop.
This elderly guy came up to me at the counter one day, many many years ago and said to me. "Do you fix Washing Machines?" "We do indeed" I told him. "In that case, could you come and have a look at my wife's cervix, it's leaking oil all over the floor and we only use it once a week" I said "Those Servis Washing Machines are known for that, I'll get my Dad to call round this evening"
In those glorious days before mobile phones and caller display, I rang a local number and asked for Mrs Murphy. "She's not here" replied the person I had called. "Do you know when she will be home?" I asked "I'm not sure, have you tried phoning her?" Was the reply. "Who am I talking to?" I asked. "This is Pauline Johnstone" she replied. "I am terribly sorry" I said "I must have called a wrong number" "Oh no dear" She said "My number is ex-directory, so you wouldn't know it" As a shot in the dark, I asked her "Do you know a Mrs Murphy?" "No Dear" she said, "but I'll tell her you called"
